Public trust is earned the same way respect is earned on the street — through consistency, honesty, and results. Too many neighbors feel distant from the agency sworn to protect them. That gap is dangerous for deputies and for communities alike.
I will lead with transparency and accountability: clear expectations for conduct, open communication when things go right and when they go wrong, and genuine engagement with every part of Marion County — not just the easy rooms. Residents should know who we are, what we stand for, and how we handle problems.
Restoring confidence is not a press release. It is a culture of professional pride, fair treatment, and visible leadership. I have worn the badge as a deputy and as a chief. I know how hard our people work, and I know the public deserves an office they can believe in again.
